What on earth is Clickbank?

ClickBank is a service where vendors can offer their products for sale. ClickBank has affiliates who can earn referral commissions selling those products. Clickbank helps the vendors and affiliates. It is definitely a win-win situation for all concerned.

This is what ClickBank says about ClickBank . “ClickBank makes a sale somewhere in the world every three seconds, safely processing more than 26,000 digital transactions a day. We serve more than 200 countries, and are consistently ranked as one of the most highly-trafficked sites on the web.”

ClickBank merchants control the amount of commission paid for their products. And ClickBank affiliates can refer their site visitors (or ezine readers) to the products/merchants of their choice. If you decide to become an affiliate, look at Clickbank Marketplace to find a product.

Try to find a product that is going to be around for a long time. The effort that you put into an advertising campaign should not be wasted in some fad . You should sell something that will be paying you commissions in the future as well.

Each ClickBank merchant and affiliate has a unique account nickname. The nickname is how ClickBank tracks “who is owed what.” ClickBank does all the bookkeeping and pays its affiliates and merchants on a regular basis.

(If you are not a ClickBank affiliate and want your own nickname , as soon as you choose your product, you will be able to sign up to be an affiliate.

This is what a normal ClickBank affiliate link looks like

http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net

This special link is called a “hoplink”. That was the very first internet marketing term I learned and it probably will be yours too!

Before you start promoting, it is a good idea that you paste the HopLink into a text file on your computer, and save the file so you can keep track of all the different HopLinks you’ve created and have easy access to them whenever you find a new place to promote products.
When the above link is clicked, the browser is taken to ClickBank where a cookie with the merchant and affiliate nicknames are set (for credit in case of a sale), and then immediately redirected to the Master Series’ referral landing page.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that opening an account with Clickbank is absolutely free. Go

ahead now and get started so that you will be ready when the sales come in!

Clickbank is the best merchant at first. It’s not a bad to get adventurous when you get the hang of things and try others out for other products!
