Affiliate home business . Should I have my own website? I mean, do I have to?

Now, I am the first one to be shooting you off to free material, and believe me, there is plenty on the internet. I would ,for example ,advise everyone to go to Vernita Sherman’s site Vernita Sherman.com and sign up for her free training videos. They are excellent and without treating you like a nitterhead, she slowly takes you through the basics. (She is also wonderful for onsite stress and overwhelm.)
There are also the free blog sites and also lots of free webpages which you can use. They are good and many are effective so you CAN manage an affiliate home business without a paid website .
But let’s face it. You are in this for the long haul aren’t you? I mean, you don’t want to do something that may function for a while and then leave you without any lifestyle-improvement. That is not your aim. You are wanting, like I was, a long term life-improvement option. And here, I am also talking to the over 50s plus who may suddenly have found themself unexpectedly without a job in this moment of universal downsizing. You want to find the road to freedom from panicking every June, when the car insurance is due or Joey has to unexpectedly get braces on his teeth. Right?
You see, while free websites are good because they are free, you will have to put up with often-distracting logos and advertisements that are not your own .
Your aim is to build a solid business, steadily and with criteria. One thing that will set you apart is your own website. Not only will it put the stamp of professionality on you, it will do wonders for your own self esteem, and give you a good channel to build up a lasting relationship and trust with your customers.
The free webpages and blogs and lenses can work side by side with your own site, re-enforcing and consolidating it.
So my advice on creating and building your own website? Go for it!
Before anything, I must give you a piece of advice. There are tons of FREE web pages on the Internet which you can use for your affiliate marketing business. I am talking about FREE Websites, Blogs, Profiles, Lenses and so on. Honestly, they are all good and even effective. I know lots of affiliate marketers that are making good money through their FREE websites and blogs. I am not against that.
On the other hand, if you want to build a professional business, you need more tools. One of them is your own web page. I mean your own dot com website which is not FREE. It costs you money, but you will avoid using advertisements and logos on your own web pages. The services which give you free web pages serve ads on your websites and it decreases the effectiveness of your site.
You can create and run FREE web pages such as blogs and lenses in parallel with your own website. Not only it is fine, but also it is highly recommended. You will later find out how and why.
But, it doesn´t mean that you skip creating and running your own website. As I said before, it is about being professional and reputable. If you want to get this right, and other things right I suggest this course which gives you the basics.

They have different functions.
Often it is a good idea to combine,but your blog is where you give value and create trust. Then, you can link people to your reccomendations!
